Auburn University has been Watermark Learning’s academic partner since 2004, providing endorsement for our certificate programs in Business Analysis, Project Management, Business Process Management, and Agile. We currently offer the following certificate programs:  https://www.watermarklearning.com/about/auburn-certificate-programs

Watermark Learning recently had Auburn University’s Marketing Director in Engineering Outreach and Continuing Education, Wanda Lambert, in for a visit and to conduct the once a year audit. Auburn has a policy in place where once a year, an audit needs to take place of outside curriculum in order to keep awarding CEUs (Continuing Education Units).
At left, Wanda Lambert is pictured with Watermark Learning’s Chris Anderson, VP of Operations and Brian Maas, Director of Client Solutions.

Watermark Learning has a unique niche where Auburn doesn’t offer the same type of courses.

“The courses are a compliment to what we’re doing,” said Lambert. “Instead of trying to duplicate a course, it makes more sense to refer students to Watermark Learning’s program. An added benefit is that Watermark has an established name.”

During the audit, Lambert sits in on live in-person classes that are taking place at the time in order to observe and take note that learning objectives and course descriptions are accurate. When there is a new instructor, new courses, or when changes to a course/program are made, an audit is needed in those areas. This includes reviewing an instructor’s resume, learning objectives, course descriptions, and outlines by an expert in the particular field of study who will vet the program.

In addition to auditing classes and materials, Lambert met with Watermark’s staff regarding the certification process and if any procedures should be changed or if updates are needed so that the process runs smoothly. She’ll also uncover if any new classes are on the horizon.

“We need to be aware of new course development and be prepared in thinking how it will fit,” Lambert said.

Associate and Masters Certificate classes are bundled in order to meet development needs of students. To keep improving, classes may be added or removed; Watermark is able to adjust once a course is already vetted.

“Watermark Learning has very clear quality and standards that are equal to the quality and standards of Auburn,” Lambert added, “We’re proud to partner with Watermark. There is a mutual respect and benefit. It’s easy to partner with the best!”

Watermark Learning thanks Wanda Lambert and Auburn University for the successful audit and are happy to be in partnership now for over 10 years!
